President's PenAmy Hardesty - IndySHRM President

By Amy Wright, SHRM-SCP, SPHR

Call for Nominations

I have had the pleasure of serving as your chapter President for the last two years, which includes service on the Indiana State Council of SHRM (INSHRM). This provides me with opportunity to represent us at the state level, and network with other volunteer chapter leaders throughout the state.

Indiana HR professionals are well represented! I am so proud to serve as part of INSHRM and IndySHRM. We have a thriving, robust, diverse chapter, none of which is possible without our members and our volunteers. We have an amazing and dedicated group of Board members; if you have a desire to become a volunteer leader in our association, please consider applying for a Board position.

We are now taking applications for certain positions on the Board of Directors. Board members serve a two year term; service includes monthly meetings, chairing a committee, attending our programs and providing strategic direction and service to the association. Terms of office begin in January 2017.

The following Board positions are up for election:

Director, Legislative Affairs
Director, Volunteer Management
Director, Diversity and Inclusion
Director, Workforce Readiness

Position descriptions and applications will be available on our website at www.indyshrm.org. Completed applications are due September 6, 2016.

Thank you for your consideration.

Starfish’s goal is to help equip and prepare these talented students for high school graduation and college success. They are currently facing a shortage of Mentors on our side of town and have many students in need of a Mentor. (READ MORE)
