IndySHRM 2016-2017 Scholarship Award Recipient is MaryEllen Ellis!
Eligible students may apply for the IndySHRM scholarship and are
evaluated based upon academic merit, commitment to the human resource
profession as stated in educational/career goals and/or demonstrated
in school or work achievements, and faculty or employer recommendation.

Spotlight – Dawn Wendt, PHR
The IndySHRM Member Spotlight brings individual members, their
experiences, and how they have benefited from IndySHRM membership
into the limelight. This month’s spotlight beams on Dawn
Dawn is an HR Generalist at Herman & Kittle Properties, Inc.
She has over 15 years of experience in human resources. She provides
recruiting, training, onboarding, employee relations, performance
management, payroll services and more to her multi-state team.
She is now proud to say she is a certified Professional in Human
Fall 2016 Certification Study Group(s)
IndySHRM is planning to offer (assuming there is enough interest)
both a SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP SHRM Certification study group as
well as a separate study group for those interested in
their PHR/SPHR certification with HRCI. Both study groups
will start in either August or September (specifics TBD).
Call Out – Certified HR Professionals
If you are currently a certified professional (SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP
certified for the SHRM Certification study group and/or PHR/SPHR
certified to facilitate a module or two for the PHR/SPHR study
group) who is not only passionate about helping others achieve
their certification goals, but who are also subject matter experts
in that particular HR discipline to facilitate a unit or two
this fall (August/September – October/November 2016) please reach

Did you know these SHRM Certification scholarships are
Barnes & Thornburg/Ken This is a needs-based scholarships
that will be awarded by HR Indiana and Barnes & Thornburg
– specifically, there is a Certification Scholarship awarded
to support the pursuit of a professional certification.
SHRM Foundation Certification Scholarships will be awarded, one
in the spring and one in the fall. SHRM members may apply for
this $750 award to support their pursuit of the SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP
