Summer, Summer, Summertime

It is finally summer, and in the words of DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince- it is time to sit back and unwind (or as much as we can in HR)! I hope you can take some time this summer and enjoy all the outdoor activities that our city has to offer -an outdoor concert, Indians games at Victory Field, or a stroll along the canal.

Some of you are also planning on attending the National SHRM Conference at the end of the month in the Big Easy. The North Central HR Bash will be help on Monday night. If you have registered for the conference, you should have received an invite. I hope to see you there!

HR Indiana is also rapidly approaching! HR Indiana is the 3rd largest state SHRM conference in the country and will be held at the JW Marriott August 28th – 30th, and if you haven’t heard Football Legend Peyton Manning will be our Keynote speaker on Tuesday morning! This provides a great opportunity for professional education, networking, re-certification credits for HRCI and SHRM certifications, and fun with your HR peers. It is a tremendous value and asset to our state. Registration is still open, and you can register at http://www.hrindianaconference.org
