President's PenAmy Hardesty - IndySHRM President

By Amy Wright, SHRM-SCP, SPHR

In August, we announced that our friends and colleagues from another area SHRM chapter, Human Resource Professional Development Association (HRPDA), would be joining IndySHRM in January 2017 and the programming forum would be known as IndySHRM North.

Earlier this year, we were also approached by individuals in the Greenwood, Franklin and Columbus metro areas, asking if there was a SHRM presence and SHRM programming available for professionals in that area.

Thanks to a dedicated group of volunteers, and support from our Indiana State SHRM Council, I am very pleased to announce that programming for IndySHRM South launches this month. The first program is a breakfast program and will take place on October 13th, at Ivy Tech in Columbus, Indiana. We had such tremendous success and positive feedback from our Compensation and Benefits program from September 22nd that our panel has agreed to repeat the program for our friends and colleagues in the south.

Please help us spread the word about IndySHRM South. If you are someone who works or lives in the southern metro area and would like to get involved as a volunteer, contact Misty Resendez, our VP/Programs. We would love to have you on the team.

Best,

Amy
